If any art lovers were at Chelsea Flower Show yesterday, you might have spotted a famous face among the crowds - celebrated landscape artist Ashley Jackson had his easel set up painting the Arts of Yorkshire Garden.Ashley was invited to take part by Welcome to Yorkshire and continued a very local artistic theme to this particular garden, which also featured a Barbara Hepworth sculpture and plants chosen according to David Hockney's colour palette.
The garden was designed by Leeds-based landscape designers Gillespies and utilised curved wall toppings to suggest the undulating hills of Ashley's native Yorkshire - and he certainly seemed to be enjoying the challenge of painting the display and chatting away to the passing crowds.
Were you at Chelsea Flower Show yesterday? Did you see Ashley (or any other artists) at work? Leave us a comment at the bottom and let us know if so...
